About Nura
Nura is based in Melbourne, Australia and was founded in 2015. Funding by an accelerator program and a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, Nura became the first headphone manufacturer to bring personalised sound technology to listeners.
The first Nura product to hit the market was the Nuraphone. This was launched in 2017.
A year later, Nura released a free firmware update for the Nuraphone so users could enable extra features such as ANC, enhanced voice calls and more. This forward thinking company became the the first company to do this; upgrades to a headphone via an update!

Designed with highly sensitive microphones they are able to measure otoacoustic emissions from your cochlea. Nura take these measurements and determine which frequencies your ears are more or less sensitive to. Finally, they are then able to create a hearing profile, unique to you.
