Drivers and Transformers
Selecting the right driver for your lighting set up is really important. We have a range of Sensio drivers on offer at Appliance House. These come in a range of wattages with a varying number of ports.
We also offer Smart Drivers which are compatible with Android and iOS devices for smart home lighting setups with voice activation.
To determine which is the correct driver, you’ll need to calculate the wattage of your lights. Here’s a quick example:
2 x 1.65W Spotlights + 1 x 10W Flexible Strip Lighting = 13.3 Watt Total.
The above would require a driver offering 4 or more ports (3 lights being inserted) with a wattage of 15 Watts or more. You cannot exceed the total output of the driver therefore, a driver with a wattage lower than 13.3W would not work for this lighting set-up.
IP44 rated drivers are splash proof making them suitable for use in the bathroom.
Sensor Switches For Lights
Motion sensor lights are becoming really popular as they offer a number of benefits. Once a sensor is installed, there’s no need to manually switch the lights on and off. The sensor will activate the lights upon entering the room (depending where you put the sensor of course!) Lights automatically switch off too helping to save money and energy.
Sensor lights are brilliant installed in cupboards and wardrobes. They will switch on and illuminate when the door is opened, making it so much easier to find things without having to switch the main light on!
Lighting Profiles
Lighting profiles provide the perfect finishing touch for strip lighting. You’ll discover a whole range of profiles suitable for use in cupboards, beneath shelves and even ones designed for handle-less kitchen cabinets!
Light profiles enable you to illuminate your space in a stylish way without the glare of individual LEDS. Simply feed the LED strip lighting through the profile for a neat and tidy finish.
