Rich Chocolate Tiffin is such a simple, fun recipe. Our recipe is packed with biscuits and raisins, smothered in a mix of milk and dark chocolate. It is rich, indulgent and tastes AMAZING.
Our Rich Chocolate Tiffin Square recipe is really easy and involves no baking! It is a perfect recipe to make with little ones, I'm sure they'll love bashing up the biscuits too!
It's great for using up broken biscuits and you can swap fillings dependant on what is in your cupboard.
It is best to cut into small slices as this recipe is very rich. However, it's that good, you may not be able to resist the urge for another slice.

Rich Chocolate Tiffin Squares
Ingredients.
- 120g Unsalted Butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Gold Caster Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
- 4 Tsp High Quality Cocoa Powder
- 1 Large Handful of Raisins
- 100g Digestive Biscuits - Crushed
- 100g Rich Tea Biscuits - Crushed
- 110g Milk Chocolate
- 110g Dark Chocolate
- Pinch Salt
Method.
- Butter and line a 15-20cm tin with baking parchment.
- Melt the butter, sugar, syrup, pinch of salt and cocoa in a large pan over a medium heat.
- Once melted add the biscuits and dried fruit.
- Pop the mixture into the tin and press down to firm, ensuring it is evenly distributed across the tin.
- Melt the milk and dark chocolate together. Be careful not to over heat.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit mixture. Smooth the chocolate out so all the biscuit is smothered in chocolate.
- Place in the fridge to set. This can take an hour or two.
- Dip a sharp knife in boiling water before cutting into small squares, ready to serve.
Top Tips.
Experiment with the fillings!
Remember to keep the dry ingredients ratio similar to the original recipe.
Try using different biscuits like shortbread or ginger nuts or even add a few rice crispies if you’re running low on biscuits! Pop some nuts in the mixture, pistachios work well. Glace cherries, alcohol infused sultanas or diced apricots taste lovely in this recipe too.
Tiffin can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
