How to Use the Franke Maris 3-in-1 Electronic Kitchen Tap
Mixer Lever Operation (Hot & Cold Water)
- To select hot water: Move the mixer lever to the left.
- To select cold water: Move the lever to the right.
- To turn on the water: Pull the lever forwards or push it backwards.
Electronic Control Knob (Boiling Water Operation)
- To activate the tap: Press the electronic knob once briefly.
- To dispense boiling water: Press and turn the knob backwards.
- For continuous boiling water: Press and hold the knob. Release to stop.
Boiling Water Filling Modes
- Short Fill Mode: Press the knob twice quickly (approx. 30 seconds of boiling water).
- Long Fill Mode: Press the knob three times quickly (approx. 60 seconds of boiling water).
- To stop the flow early: Press the knob once.
Tip: Hold the container close to the spout to reduce splashing. Let a small amount of boiling water run before use to reduce air bubbles and foam when making tea or coffee.
Franke Maris Water Hub Filter Management & Replacement
Setting Water Hardness
- Press and hold the electronic knob (in the neutral/off position) for 10 seconds.
- Turn the knob backwards to select the correct LED colour based on your local water hardness.
- Press and hold the knob again for 2 seconds to confirm. The LED will flash three times.

The LED will change from white to orange one month before the filter expires. When the filter has expired, the LED will pulse orange until replaced.
Replacing the Filter
- Turn and remove the old filter. A small amount of water may escape — place a container underneath.
- Fit the new Franke filter securely.
- Repeat the water hardness setup steps to restart the timer.
Note: Using official Franke filters is essential to protect the tap from limescale damage.
Filter Flushing Guidelines
- After 1 week of non-use: Run 2 litres through the tap.
- After 2 weeks: Run 10 litres.
- After 8 weeks: Replace the filter.
