Abode ProBoil.2X Tank

The WRAS approved Abode ProBoil.2X Boiling Water Tank sits neatly in the cupboard under your kitchen sink, optimizing space.

The temperature of the boiling water can be easily adjusted using the touch controls. Temperature options include: 75°C to 85 (holiday/eco mode), 90, 95, 96, 97 or 98°C. The flow is limited to 2 litres per minute. This reduces splashing and ensures a smooth, controlled water stream.

Designed with intelligent self-diagnostic control, performance of the system is monitored, enhancing efficiency and reliability.

Will the Abode Pronteau ProTrad Hot Tap fit into an existing, standard size tap hole?

All Abode taps fit into a standard 35mm tap hole. This means it couldn't be easier to upgrade your tap!

What's the difference between a 3-in-1 tap and 4-in-1 model?

This listing is for the 4-in-1 ProTrad tap which dispenses 4 types of water; boiling filtered water, filtered cold water plus, domestic hot and cold water.

The Abode ProTrad 3-in-1 offers boiling filtered water along with domestic hot and cold water.

What are the daily energy costs of the ProBoiler.2X?

The average daily running costs of Abode ProBoil.2X boiler are around 12p. This figure is based on making 8 hot drinks at 250ml each per day.

According to tests performed at Abode, the Pronteau ProTrad System used 0.800kWh over a typical 24h period: 12h held at 98°C, 12h held at 75°C (overnight), 2 litres of water dispensed at 98°C.

Is it possible to buy the Proboil.2X boiler and use my existing tap?

No. The Abode Pronteau ProTrad tap is specially engineered to work with the Proboil.2X tank. It is not possible to connect this boiler to any other tap other than those it is specifically compatible with.

Can I turn off my boiler at the mains each evening?

No, you must not switch it off each evening. It is really important, for hygiene reasons, to keep the boiler running to at least 60°C to prevent legionella.

I'm going on holiday, can I switch off the Abode ProBoil.2X boiler whilst I'm away?

If you are planning a mini break we advise reducing the temperature to its minimum setting to save energy.

For longer holidays you can disconnect the power. To do this you must flush the whole tank before use again.

How often does the filter in the Abode Pronteau ProTrad need changing?

The filter must be changed every 6 months to ensure it continues to work effectively.

How do I dispense boiling water from the Abode Pronteau ProTrad 4-in-1 Tap?

To activate the filtered boiled water fully push the left handle lever down and then simultaneously turn the handle forwards.

The further forwards the lever is turned (up to 45°) the greater the flow.

It is normal for the hot water to take a moment to start and for a minor delay when stopping the boiling water.

How do I dispense cold filtered water from the Abode Pronteau ProTrad 4-In-1 Tap?

Simply rotate the left handle backwards (max 45°) to enjoy cold filtered water from this tap.
