Recharging the battery is effortless, simply press the button on the battery pack to release it from the camera, then plug it into a micro-USB cord until fully charged.
It is the first battery powered Ring doorbell to offer 4-second Pre Roll video previews. Pre Roll technology means the Ring 3 Plus Doorbell starts to record even before you receive a motion alert. It works with your alarm and cameras which you can control via the dedicated Ring app. Pre-Roll video works during daylight hours to capture black and white, low resolution footage which helps to conserve battery life.
With 1080p HD video and two way talk you can see and speak to anyone at your front door no matter where you are! Once you download the Ring app you can connect all your Ring devices and control everything from the app via your phone or tablet. You’ll receive instant notifications when someone rings the doorbell or triggers the built in motion sensors.
Complete with a 160 degree field of view and advanced motion detection, including ‘adjustable motion zones’ you can set zones to suit your needs. The ‘near motion zone’ provides motion detection in areas only 1.5 - 4.5m in front of your home, helping to reduce irrelevant motion notifications further away.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus has 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band wifi. It works with Alexa too meaning, it is possible, with smart home automation, to turn on your smart lights automatically when someone rings the doorbell.
