The Secret To A Perfect Cup Of Tea…Quooker Boiling Water Taps
We’ve all been there, get home from a long day at work and the first thing you need is a cup of tea. You fill the kettle, turn it on and wait. The average kettle takes longer than 3 minutes to boil 1 litre of water and when you are in dire need of a brew that can seem like forever. The answer? Throw away the kettle and install a Quooker Boiling Water Tap and enjoy the benefits of instant boiling water.
Quooker taps are installed in a worktop with an insulated tank installed underneath the work surface. The water tank is available in 3 capacities, 3litre, 7litre and 11litre whilst there are 4 styles of tap, each tap available in 3 finishes; Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Stainless Steel. For families of up to 4/5 people the PRO3-VAQ 3litre water tank is ideal whiles the PRO7-VAQ is more robust and will suit families of 6 or more.
How Does A Quooker Tap Work?
The Quooker tap is connected to the tank that is connected to the water supply and is heated via electricity. Fresh water from the mains fills the Vacuum tank and is heated to 110°c and is purified as it passes through the special HiTAC water filter. As the water comes out of the tap it cools down to 100°c so is boiling as it flows into your cup of tea. If you use up all of the water in the tank it only takes 10 minutes for the 3litre tank or 15 minutes for 7 litre tanks to heat the water back up to 110°c.
Benefits Of Quooker Tap
- Save Water – Instead of filling the kettle and only using a fraction of the water, the Quooker tap means you only use what you need.
- Save Money – The Quooker vacuum insulation technology means the tap is energy efficient, has a daily running cost of just 3p a day and saves you boiling the kettle time and time again which costs the same amount as running your fridge for 7 hours.
- Save Space – With a height adjustable spout and compact design the Quooker tap takes up less room than a kettle saving you valuable space on your worktop.
Are Quooker Taps Safe?
Safety has been the paramount consideration throughout the development of Quooker taps, which is why these taps are very safe. The child proof tap handle on all Quooker taps requires a push and turn in order to operate while the water is delivered in a fine spray rather than a jet.
These kitchen taps have taken decades for the Quooker inventor, Henri Peteri, to perfect including re-mortgaging his house 7 times in order to fund this development. After years of altering his design and the engineering he came up with the perfect science so you can enjoy boiling water from the tap. Today Quooker taps are sold around the world and now you can buy one too.
