Author Notes;I like to freeze the bars so they remain firm, they soon soften once removed from the freezer. They’ll last a few weeks individually wrapped in the freezer, or up to a week in an airtight container in the fridge….or maybe you’ll love them so much they wont last two minutes!!Banana Caramel Bars; Why not replace the base with slices of banana, a delicious, healthy and cheaper alternative. If you decide to use bananas you must keep the portions, wrapped and frozen until ready to eat. Guaranteed to be a firm favourite with the kids.Date Caramel Chocolates;Healthy Snickers BarTry making yummy frozen caramel chocolates. Simply make small caramel rounds using a teaspoon, top with nuts (or leave off the nuts if you prefer!)  and cover in chocolate then freeze. Delicious, healthy, bite sized chocolates ready whenever you feel a sweet craving coming on! These chocolates are so much healthier than standard caramel as the sweetness comes from the dates. Perfect for serving up as an after dinner treat with coffee.Date Fact;Dates contain nutrients that support a healthy heart plus they won’t add to your cholestrol as they are fat free. They’re on the low glycemic index too meaning they wont cause a spike in blood sugar.
