We’ll Donate To WaterAid With Every Water Filter Tap Sale.

We’re thrilled to announce that we are on a mission to raise money towards a great cause. From now until the end of August for every water filter tap and replacement water filter cartridge we sell at Appliance House we’ll contribute towards WaterAid. Together we can help to make a huge difference to so many.

Clean water is precious. In the UK all tap water is safe to drink by the time it reaches our kitchen tap. With the addition of a filtered water tap we can enjoy seriously clean tasting water at home, like having bottled water ‘on tap’. Metallic taint and impurities are removed before it reaches your glass while essential minerals will remain in the water. Unfortunately, for millions, this is not the case. Clean water, for many, is not so easily accessible as these statistics from WaterAid show;

• 1 in 3 people on the planet do not have a decent toilet of their own. That’s a huge 2.3 billion people.
• 31% of schools do not have clean water.
• 844 Million people do not have clean water close to home. Thats 1 in 9 people.
• Diarrhoea caused by dirty water and poor toilets kills a child under 5 every 2 minutes.

These statistics do not make for pleasant reading. Our donation will help to provide clean water and decent toilets whilst also improving hygiene levels in these deprived areas. How great it would be to help people less fortunate than ourselves lead a healthier, more dignified life. For every £1 we give to WaterAid, 72p is spent enabling people to transform their lives with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, 1p is spent on governance and 27p is spent on fundraising.
